'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'
In Reception, we have been reading ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’. We set a special home learning task & parents supported their children to create their very own story boxes. The children have been using these in school to retell the story.
Share a hot chocolate, snuggle up with a soft toy and read a book. Spend time reading together and have fun! We love our new EYFS bedtime story suitcases!
Reception classes - Robin, Parrot & Penguin
The setting is well resourced and equipped for the individual needs of all children. We are very fortunate to have a substantial outdoor area around the separate reception building. This includes a large area of astro turf, a trim trail, playgrounds, a sand pit and quiet garden area with a stage. Our facilities also include a double decker library bus, two large playgrounds, an indoor P.E. hall and a separate dining room.
HGPS Library Bus
The location, next to the reception building, allows the children to access the fabulous school library bus as much as possible. This encourages the children to experience a wide range of books and teaches them the enjoyment that reading offers.
